In a topsy-turvy race the early running was cut out by Streatham after both Elizabeth and Serab had been left at the start. Streatham maintained his lead until a furlong and a half from home when firstly Canteen, then Brutandorf, then Miller of Mansfield and finally Jerry held the lead. Jerry proved too strong in the run for the line and won by 2 lengths in 3 minutes 29 seconds. In a career spanning 10 races Jerry won 5 and was second in a further 3 races, although his later efforts were undistinguished. | Over Round 121% | ||
